Lots of Ways to Get Involved.
Our Contemporary Service
Our Contemporary service is casual and diverse, typically lasting about one hour. Here’s what you can expect:
Pastoral Perspective: Thought-provoking messages on Scripture and contemporary issues.
Joys and Concerns: A chance for members and the community to share their experiences and prayer requests.
A Time with Young Christians: A time of worship and learning for our younger members.
Contemplative Prayer: A quiet time for reflection and prayer.
Sacraments: We celebrate baptism and communion in a contemporary form.
Music Ministry: Enjoy worship led by our worship band, Higher Ground.
Fellowship Time: Worship is followed by a time for fellowship, fostering connections and support.
All means all—everyone is welcome to join us in this inclusive and engaging worship experience.

Connect With a Group
We connect in many ways besides Sunday worship, including Bible study and a book club. All are open for those who wish to join.
Rainbow Children’s Center
The Moorpark United Methodist Rainbow Children’s Center is a non-profit church related program. Rainbow began as the lab school for Moorpark College and has been a part of the United Methodist Church outreach ministry since 1981. Our school is open to children of any sex, race or religion. Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors

Outreach
At Moorpark United Methodist Church, we see outreach as the practice of looking beyond ourselves to the people around us, sharing the love of Christ as we serve and connect with our community. Some of our outreach programs include:
Rainbow Children’s Center (RCC): Our Preschool program.
Moorpark Food Pantry Plus: Providing food and essentials to those in need.
Habitat for Humanity: Partnering to build homes and hope.
Music Ministry: Sharing the joy of music within and beyond our congregation.
Easter Baskets: Spreading joy during the Easter season.
Halloween On High Street: A safe and fun Halloween event for families.
Christmas Angels: Bringing holiday cheer to those in need.
Care Packages: Sending love and support through thoughtfully assembled packages.
Through these programs, we aim to positively impact our community and embody the love of Christ in all that we do.
